Review of a Calistoga Napa Valley Clothing Optional bed and breakfast / Inn: Meadowlark Country House
During our travels around northern California, Jordan and I got an opportunity to visit a charming small clothes-optional place in Calistoga named Meadowlark Country House.
We had a GPS and it was easy to find, though driving around the mountains for 20 minutes in a constant sharp turn was a real trip.

It was correct on the main floor so we located it and settled in.

At first we were only going to take their simplest room, but I could not resist the whirlpool tub! So we paid a little more, and it was entirely worth every penny.
The room (suite #5) was plentiful sized, clean and well-furnished. There were small couches and coffee table and behind that our queen size bed. A fireplace was situated in the corner, flanked by bookshelves.
There were also some books piled on the tables, about art, architecture, photography, journey. I pictured the owners must be cultured and well read.

Among the first things we additionally detected was a bowl of miniature chocolate candies and two soft bath robes hanging in the toilet for our use. I presumed, chocolate AND bath robes provided? I am sold!

We chewed the fat with Richard for a while as he gave us a tour of the facilities. They’d a big mineral-water pool, hot tub and sauna, all enclosed within a gate. This is basically the clothing-optional area. The pool was closed for the season.

During the National Socialist Gleichschaltung age, all naturist clubs had to enroll with the Reichsbund fr Leibesbungen, which meant excluding Jews and Communists. My FKK Weekend at Sunny Rest
I have been humbled in being asked by Naturist Portal (FKK) to compose a guest blog about my experience with this amazing organization during Memorial Day Weekend. Because you may or may not know, FKK is a social-approval organization for nude friendly people interested in naturism, nudism and nudie associated tasks.
As stated on their site, Sunny Rest is a fun, sociable, and relaxed clothes-optional resort with daily entertainment and modern facilities for all ages, sexes, classes, races and body types.
Although this was my second season as a naturist, for some reason I was anxious to be meeting a brand new group, seeing a brand new resort, and being nude in public. Since a certain chill was in the air, I stayed clothed, brought a towel and made my way to Flashers, which can be the cabaret at Sunny Rest. When I entered, I was quite surprised to see it filled with clothed men and women, couples, single men (both old and youngish) speaking among themselves. I got this strange vibe as it looked to be a ordinary pub where folks were out cruising for a night out on town. I walked around the pub in incredulity, as I had not been quite sure what to expect.
I made my way around the dance floor and seating area to get a feel for the place and couldn’t locate any one remotely resembling a part of FKK. Now that I think about it, it’s strange to believe that we’ve got a special appearance. Anyway, I purchased a quick drink to settle the nerves and gazed hopefully in the direction instantaneously behind me. To my surprise a hot tub was filled to the brim, quite literally, with a group of naked people smiling, talking and laughing.

While at Sunny Rest, I determined to take advantage of the other facilities available and made it to the workout room, that has been below the cabaret.
